I’ll touch on staying motivated and finding inspiration for drawing, crafting, and sketchbook projects. I’ll also be diving into my current art projects (knitting a sweater, sewing a quilt, painting fabric to make into a tote bag, developing my own artistic style) and reflecting on what I want to achieve over the next year in my creative journey. Whether you’re into sketching, crafting, or just looking for some motivation to fuel your own art-making, this video will give you some ideas. I’ll also be getting a bit more personal in this video by giving some thoughts on my own drawing process. As an artist, I often experience bursts of creativity in my sketchbook, but I’ve also struggled with art block. One technique that has helped me overcome this is collage sketchbooking. I started cutting and pasting photos from museums into my sketchbook, which not only filled up pages quickly but also took away the pressure of figuring out what to draw. This method has been an effective way to stay creative without stressing over what to sketch next. Another tip I want to share is how my new Himi Gouache set has transformed my painting process. I’ve always disliked the task of preparing my palette before painting, but with this set, I don’t have to squeeze paint out of the tubes. It’s made my art process smoother, allowing me to jump straight into painting with less setup time. If you’re looking for tools to make your creative process more efficient, this is a game-changer! One of my biggest suggestions for making more art is keeping a list of art ideas and projects I want to work on. This has been a lifesaver for me, especially with all the different art forms I’m exploring right now. By having my ideas written down, I never have to worry about not knowing what to do next. It’s helped me stay organized, motivated, and ready to dive into my next creative project. If you’re someone who juggles multiple art projects, I highly recommend keeping a list - it’s been a huge help in staying productive and focused.
