This video features a very uncommon but attractive late-40's Mirovox amp that arrived on our workbench with several issues related to a hair-trigger volume control, inadequate tone control, hot 6V6 tube bias, and an out-of-place, improperly wired output transformer. After showing and testing each repair, we turn the amp over to Ollie & Jack for their traditional audio testing session. As if this were not enough, we do a media search for information on Mirovox amps, open some gifts, and engage in a philosophical discussion regarding the vicissitudes of desert weather.
