Machete Mexican Ancestral Food Address: 91007 Main St, Vancouver, BC V6A 4L4 Machete meal made vegan, along with a few vegan tacos, was what we shared at Machete Mexican Ancestral Food in Vancouver, BC. The restaurant isn’t vegan or vegetarian, but they do have sections on their menu with clearly marked vegan options. The place was cute and cosy and busy on a Saturday for lunch! We saw a lot of people ordering the machete and since it’s in the name of the restaurant, we had to order one too. You can choose among several fillings for the machete and we got the refried beans and avocado and for cheese, they use Daiya. For our three tacos, we got cactus, corn mushroom, and pumpkin flower, and these came without cheese. We also were given two hot sauces and a fresh salsa to try with our dishes. We’re thankful for any vegan Mexican food we can get in Vancouver because it’s not easy to find in our city, so watch the episode to see what we thought of our food!
