Last night, I had a small but powerful breakthrough. I sat down and created a repeatable daily process—something simple, realistic, and designed for me. For the first time in a long time, I woke up exactly when I intended to, went to the gym, and flowed straight into the work I needed to do to build my business. What surprised me most is how familiar this felt. In the military, systems already exist. Roles are defined. Processes are established. You don’t have to invent structure—you step into it. And yet, after leaving the military, I spent nearly a year trying to “figure it out” without applying that same logic to my own life. In this video, I reflect on how creating personal systems—rather than relying on motivation—helped me regain momentum, clarity, and consistency. I also share why I’ve chosen to stay in Santa Elena, Colombia: a place where daily movement is built into life, where people greet one another instinctively, and where simplicity and efficiency coexist. From walking uphill to the gym to working out in a house converted into a functional fitness space, this environment reinforces the very systems I’m trying to build. If you’re navigating life after structure—after the military, school, or a major transition—this video is an invitation to pause, design systems that actually fit you, and move forward with intention.
