This place is something that blew our minds off and took the top spot compared to all the places we've travelled so far. GAVI FOREST, we cannot exaggerated enough, this place began surprising us right from the beginning of our 90 km long jeep safari. Off roads, seeing wildlives roaming around,chill breeze and everything kept us mesmerising. The package of this includes two days and one night. The trip begins from kumily(easily accessible place and has transportation from Chennai and Bangalore)that lies between the borders of tamilnadu and Kerala. Starting early is the key. Try to reach kumily at the earliest. Rooms to get yourselves refreshed will be provided. And breakfast is served at a restaurant (must say this place has an amazing egg curry). First stop is a hidden/private waterfalls, that's exclusively open for their customers to bath and enjoy the cascade. Next stop is the PARUNTHUMPARA view point (can't seem to find words) has the best views we've ever seen. It's a plus one for those who can hike down a few hundred metres and come back up can experience an amazing view. Note: Not advisable for who has no experience in trekking or with bad health. Next comes the VALANJAGANAM Waterfall's an amazing road side waterfall where you can stop for tea and refreshments. Next is the PANJALIMEDU, talk is that this place holds a little history of Panjapandavas. Next we stopped for lunch at a restaurant (excluded from the package). We then reached PAMBAI river around three at noon. This package has two stays from which you can choose according to your liking.. since we travelled with friends we decided to stay at this part which is deep in the jungle with basic food and refreshments.but they also provide comfortable stays and food for people who come with their family. Cooking can be done on our own as well but the purchase has to be made prior. Stay has an amazing swimming pool with both open and closed bedrooms with clean comfortable toilets and baths. Food can be cooked over the earthen stove and dinner will be provided as well. A guide with proper knowledge of the place will be staying with you to make sure your safety measures.
