Landslides triggered by heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand has led to disruptions to the char dham yatra. One of the worst-hit areas is near Sonprayag, along the Kedarnath route where landslides blocked roads for several hours before pilgrims were allowed to proceed further. Local authorities in collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force, deployed heavy machinery to clear the roads for safe passage of pilgrims.
