Winter Fly Fishing at Forbes of Kingennie

After weeks of heavy rain and blown out rivers, I finally got back fishing at Forbes of Kingennie. This is my first fishing session of the year and the start of a new season chasing salmon and sea trout across Scotland. With my River Eden season ticket about to begin, I’m using this session to get back into rhythm before hitting the rivers properly. The conditions were cold, the wind was pushing across the water, and the rivers remain too high to fish. No fish landed this time, but that’s part of fishing in Scotland.
