Welcome to the world of watchmaking! This is the first part of a five part video series showing you how to service a vintage 17 jewel manual wind movement from start to finish. In part four, we will go through the assembly of the movement, oiling/greasing the movement, and adjusting the beat error. We will also touch on regulating the timekeeping. This tutorial can be applied to the vast majority of manual wind movements you will find on your watchmaking journey, especially watches from the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s! **Please forgive me for the volume discrepancies from video to video. Not really sure why that happened but I'll make sure to do better on my future videos!
