FFXIV 2.2 0316 Lost City of Amdapor (Warrior) Mithrie - Gaming Guides In this episode, I am joined by Legacy Free Company members as we take on the Lost City of Amdapor a new dungeon introduced in Patch 2.2. This dungeon introduces us to the city of Amdapor which was sealed since the Fifth Astral Era, recently being unlocked due to the after-effects of the Calamity. It is found within that there is a lot of insect and plant type monsters inside. The final fight is Diabolos, a primal from other Final Fantasy games including Final Fantasy 8 and 11. The tactics for this fight are as follows: 1) When starting the fight mark the door which has the same colour codes on the type using pairs of signs accessed by pressing Shift + M on PC. We marked them using the pairings 1 + 2, Chain 1 + Chain 2, Square + Circle and leave the last two blank. 2) During the fight, Diabolos will cast easy to interrupt nightmare spells. 3) Eventually, his attention will go off the tank and he will move to the centre of the room to cast a big attack. At this point owning a pair of matched doors will send you into a vortex between the doors, allowing you to avoid the damage completely. You will not be brought into the doors until both matching doors are opened up. We do it by having the tank open the first door he is standing next to, and having someone else open its marked/corresponding door when the big attack is about halfway cast to ensure we are able to avoid the attack successfully. This takes practice but eventually, you will get the rotation right. 4) Marking the doors at the beginning is very important because if you open the wrong pair of doors, both will close and you have to try again at which point you might of already been hit by the big attack. 5) This is repeated every couple of minutes until the fight is over, with the third such attack taking longer to cast and hitting harder than the first two, so be careful with this. We do fail the last boss a couple of times stepping into the dungeon for the first time ever but we are successful in doing it shortly after. The required item level for this dungeon is item level 55.
