Tekken 1 - A Retrospective On One Of The First 3D Fighting Games

It's been a while, huh? Glad to see you all again! Sorry for the incredibly long ahh break, it was initially meant to be a bit shorter than this but I had to take a lot of time off due to mental health struggles and the like, but all is well now! In that time I've worked to redo all of my previous Tekken videos as well as one or two new little things. Starting with the one and only, the game that spawned the series with the current Guinness World Record for the longest ongoing storyline in a fighting game franchise. Tekken 1 was... A pretty big deal, but that doesn't mean it's the best game all around lol Despite some great innovations in the fighting game genre, this first iteration is a bit hellish to go back to nowadays, but still has that 90s charm we all love and are willing to forgive some of the jankiest games for, in this series, I aim to take a deep dive into the franchise's evolution, game by game, from their development cycles, their systems and aesthetics, their stories and rosters, and more. So yippie, I'm back, and you guys can expect the rest of the Tekken series (Until 5 at least) to be coming almost weekly for the foreseeable future! Sorry for the bad audio quality in the outside shots, I still don't have a collar mic so until then it'll have to stay this wonky.
