Maryland Mountain in Black Hawk, CO is an absolute gem! 🚵‍♂️ The trails are incredibly fun — from the sweet, fast flow of Fast Money to the super steep and harrowing descents of Ore Chute. The locals were all incredibly cool, and the climb up was surprisingly manageable. I tackled it on my 170mm travel Ari La Sal Peak and it was awesome! You could absolutely enjoy it on a smaller bike, and judging by the number of riders I saw on them, e-bikes are a very popular choice here. If you’re looking for a spot that offers variety, friendly vibes, and trails that will make you grin from ear to ear, Maryland Mountain needs to be on your list. I was planning to hit the newer stuff in Idaho Springs, but I just didn't have the legs in me...next time.
