City of Stirling held a community event on Sunday 26 November 2023, Stirling’s trackless tram trial happened between 8am-11am to go testing from the City of Stirling administration to a car park aside from it, the journey took around a few minutes to go from the administration to the car park then return. Partners for this was from from Curtin University, ITSG, CRRC and Shanghai Electric. This tram is one of Australia’s first trackless trams and this tram looks like a success. The interior of this tram has plastic seats, room for wheelchair users and a screen to show all the stations for the tram route. The tram will connect people to busy, vibrant areas, creating better accessibility and generating urban redevelopment within the Scarborough Beach Road Activity Corridor.
