This is one of the first films I directed (outside of childhood home movies) and the first film Kevin shot as DP. While we made this short as film students at Loyola Marymount University, it was technically not a school project. We built the set, gathered a few friends, got some leftover film donated to us and shot one night when no one was using the school's sound stage. We paid for the processing ourselves and a connection helped us out with a very cheap telecine. Neither of us had ever shot on film so it was a fun little experiment - I still love how incredibly gritty and disgusting it looks. Hackjob sat unfinished on a hard drive for many years until we recently dusted it off and posted it here. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy!
