Press the VOLUME ON/OFF knob to turn the system ON. Turn the same knob to adjust volume. Your radio will play FM and AM stations and, if so equipped, will tune in XM Satellite radio. To manually tune the radio, turn the TUNE/FOLDER/ AUDIO knob left or right to move up or down through the stations. To tune and stop at the next broadcast station, press the SEEK/CATEGORY or TRACK buttons left or right. Up to 18 broadcast and 18 satellite stations can be set in memory. Choose the desired band - AM, FM1 or FM2 using the AM-FM select button, or a satellite band XM1, XM2 or XM3 using the SAT button. Tune to the desired station using manual, SEEK or SCAN tuning. Press and hold any of the desired station memory buttons (1 thru 6) until the preset number is updated on the display and the sound is briefly muted. When the sound resumes, the station has been set. This audio system features Speed Sensitive Volume or SSV, which increases volume at higher speeds and decreases at lower speeds. To turn ON SSV, press the SETTING button. Then select the "Audio" key using the NISSAN controller, then press the ENTER button; the audio settings screen will be displayed. Select the SSV and press the key. Select the "--" softkey or "+" softkey to change the SSV or turn the outside ring of the multifunction controller. You can also adjust the Bass, Treble, Balance and Fade in a similar fashion by selecting the corresponding key and then selecting the "--" softkey or "+" softkey or the outside ring of the multifunction controller to change the settings. To play a CD, insert the compact disc into the slot with the label side facing up. The compact disc will be guided automatically into the slot and start playing. If the radio is already operating, it will automatically turn off and the compact disc will play. While the SEEK/CAT button is pressed while the compact disc is playing, the track being played returns to its beginning. Press several times to skip back through tracks. The compact disc will go back the number of times the button is pressed. To eject a CD, press the eject button. The compact disc will be ejected.
