During the churning, poison emerged and was consumed by Shiva, treasures and Lakshmi appeared, and her choice of Vishnu began to fracture the fragile alliance. When Dhanvantari arose with the Amrit, the Asuras seized it, but Vishnu as Mohini deceived them, giving the nectar to the gods while exposing Swarbhanu, who became Rahu and Ketu.
