SOO Line ran a sprint train in the early 90's between St. Paul and Kansas City. SOO Line had a small intermodal yard across the main from West Davenport Yard and just south of Alter Steel. The yard had a three to four tracks and they were not very long, cars were taken down to the south end of the yard for south bounds and obviously north end for north bounds. This video concentrates on operations at the south end of Nahant yard. The first and last two trains show how the trains did their set outs and pickups. Most pickups and set outs were done under a half hour and then they expedited down the tracks. You will notice signals back then that no longer exist, CTC started at West Davenport as opposed to MP 198 now. Throw in a few SOO Line Bandits. This train only lasted about 4 years, someone may have a better time line on it's operation. Thanks for watching, comment like and subscribe.
