Northwoods is very affordable and cheap. According to Northwoods Nursery: " This small tree is a wonderful plant. The plant is beautiful and it produces edible fruit. The plant is native to here and grows very well. Aronia Melanocarpaa will grow to be around 6 feet tall when fully mature. It will grow well in full sunlight or partial sunlight. This tree is also very adaptable to various soil conditions. It will also produce beautiful dark purple berries and will add color to the yellow and red leaves in the autumn months." These beautiful purple berries ripen from September thru December. They grow in Zones 3-10.
