Part of my Let's Play of Labyrinth of Touhou, which can be found here: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showth... Since this is my second playthrough, I'm using v2.06's New Game + mode to access all characters I've previously unlocked, and had people vote on the 12 characters I'm allowed to use, with the stipulation that I'm never allowed to level up and use any other character. Part 2 of this battle can be found here: • Let's Play Labyrinth of Touhou - Final Bos... My Party: Meiling (lvl 134) Sakuya (lvl 129) Cirno (lvl 138) Patchouli (lvl 120) Suwako (lvl 120) Aya (lvl 127) Suika (lvl 120) Yuka (lvl 119) Remilia (lvl 119) Reimu (lvl 136) Alice (lvl 128) Flandre (lvl 120) This is it: the Final Boss! If my levels look enormous compared to the previous boss video, it's because the enemies on Floor 20 give ridiculous amounts of experience points. Some level grinding was still necessary, though. Both the English and Japanese wikis recommend level 130+ to take on the Final Boss safely. Maribel Han behaves like a mix of Alice's dolls and Yukari's/Rinnosuke's final form. She starts off weak, but calls forth a total of 3 summons: Shredding Amnesia, Aria-singing Toruastory, and Staring Igmaruji. They behave like Alice's dolls (Physical, Magical, and Support), but are far stronger and have much scarier attacks. In addition, killing one will make the other summons faster and grant them access to some truly deadly attacks. As she summons them, Maribel herself gets faster too. Maribel and her summons are essentially indestructible until all 3 summons are out, but you still need to cause enough damage to all them to get her to bring out the next summon. It doesn't matter whether you damage Maribel or her summons: you must deal a total of 500,000 damage for her to bring out the next summon. Once all 3 are out, their HP will be set; Maribel herself will have 2,000,000 HP, and will regenerate HP as long as the summons are alive. Shredding Amnesia has 600,000 HP, has better DEF than MND, and specializes in strong physical attacks. It's immune to debuffs, but somewhat vulnerable to paralysis. I highly recommend having Suwako or someone else keep it paralyzed for most of the fight. When the other summons are killed, it will start using Scourge, which does 200,000+ damage, easily killing whoever it targets (oftentimes your tank). If you can keep it paralyzed, I recommend saving it for last; otherwise, finish it off 2nd. Aria-singing Toruastory has 500,000 HP, better MND than DEF, and powerful magic spells like Ether Flare and God Press. It's immune to paralysis, but very vulnerable to stat debuffs. You can easily slow it down, or drop its MAG with Alice's Seeker Dolls. I personally find it to be the least dangerous summon, so long as I can lower its MAG. When the other summons are killed, it'll use Strengthen Jutsu to raise its MAG by 100%. Since it still needs another turn to actually use that murderous MAG stat, you get an extra turn to finish it off. Staring Igmaruji is probably the most dangerous summon, with 800,000 HP, high DEF and MND, immunity to Paralysis and debuffs, and a large arsenal of devastating spells. Magic Crystal doubles the DEF and MND of all the bosses, while Fairy Wing raises all their SPD by 60%. But even scarier than the stat buffs are its status attacks. It can inflict every status effect to all your party members at once, sometimes with just a single spell. When the other summons are dead, it will cast Djinn Storm. I strongly recommend never leaving it for the end, as Djinn Storm will absolutely cripple you when there's still Maribel to go. Once Maribel's summons are destroyed, she becomes much faster, greatly increases her DEF and MND, and gains immunity to all status ailments. She'll also immediately cast Overflowing Unnatural Power to further raise all her stats by some obscene amount. At this point, she gains access to many additional nukes, and can freely use Overflowing Unnatural Power or Djinn Storm. Your victory will likely depend on how often she uses those last 2 spells; even though I got to her final form with several key characters dead, her emphasis on nukes over buffs allowed me to just barely defeat her. Video of the game's ending will be up shortly.
