#sharpening #knives #asmr I found some sandstone around and decided to try making whetstones with them. Getting them flat was tedious but they're pretty soft so it wasn't too bad. One is resurfaced with silicon carbide powder (60/90 grit) and the other is glazed from my cement floor. I think the finish left behind is around 300 grit. I tried using my glazed stone as a polishing stone but still not great. Also, I wanted to finish on bare leather only to see really what's possible. Using compound would make a big difference when you finish on low-grit stones. How do you like this new camera angle?
