A playthrough of Capcom's versus-fighting fighting game, Super Street Fighter II Turbo as it appears on the 1997 Street Fighter Collection set for the Sony PlayStation. Played through as Ken on the hardest difficulty level with no losses. The best ending is shown. Just like the port of SSF2 included on the same disc, the PS1 version of SSF2T is excellent - it's pretty much arcade perfect, but still features some fairly annoying load times. They aren't bad at all by PS1 standards, but they do tend to interrupt the flow of the overall game a bit. They did include the shortcut option, though, for those that would like to dispose with the flourishes and get right into the fighting. It cuts them down pretty substantially. Turbo is a fantastic game and a great final hurrah for the Street Fighter II series, but dammit Capcom, was giving the AI the ability to read controller inputs really necessary to provide a challenge? SSF2 is, by comparison, an absolute cakewalk. You can certainly get cheap with the AI patterns here (I do do that a couple of times), but this one really forces you to be careful about timing of inputs more than any other game in the SF series. ____ No cheats were used during the recording of this video.
