Vexie Normal and Vexie Heroic guide! Vexie and the Geargrinders is the first boss of the Liberation of Undermine raid of The War Within. This Vexie and the Geargrinders guide will walk you through the important healer, tank and DPS raid mechanics you need to clear this Liberation of Undermine raid boss. Stay back by the door when Vexie is first entering the room- traffic is dangerous! Special thanks to OTBDave and friends for the awesome raid testing! You fight Vexie and the Geargrinders in two alternating phases. In Phase 1, DPS down biker adds and then hop onto their bikes and fire them at the boss to chip away at Defensive Plating stacks. You must remove all stacks with bike collisions before the boss caps on energy or else she’ll wipe you with Unrelenting CAR-nage. When the stacks are all removed, the boss will enter the Mechanical Breakdown burn phase and take 100% extra damage. Interrupt and CC Pit Mechanic adds while burning the boss during this phase. Other Phase 1 mechanics include Tank Buster, (swap after each one), run out with Spew Oil, keep moving with Incendiary Fire and heal through Bomb Voyage. On Heroic Vexie and the Geargrinders, Oil Slicks will drop on the floor after Spew Oil and Tank Buster. They’ll trip up bikes and can be cleared with Incendiary Fire.
