Hey there neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer here on our 2019 Holiday Rambler Admiral Class A motor home. So when it's time to take your family out on a nice, fun adventure with your Class A motor home, typically the first thing you're gonna notice is just how bad it handles. A lot of the time you're really kinda white knuckling it, especially when you start to get up to those highway speeds. Even myself just going out on our little highway here where it's only 55 for the speed limit, just getting into that 45 to 50 zone, it really starts to loosen up. You really just don't feel like you have a lot of control, and that's where it leads to white knuckling. You're getting a lot of driver fatigue at the end of your trip because you've been sitting there trying to really stiffly hold the steering wheel and keep everything tracking straight, especially if you're hitting bumps in the road where it wants to try and throw your steering wheel to one way or the other, then you really need to hang on nice and tight. The way to adjust that and fix it is with the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer. Now this motor home came with a factory steering stabilizer on it, but it really just was not cutting it. It's really only kind of pulling one way and not going both ways to give us that fine tune adjustment to where we can really stiffen up the steering and then prevent that floaty feeling that you get when you're out on the highway doing those higher speeds. So as far as installation goes, this one isn't really too complicated. You're only adding on a couple of brackets. The big thing here is you are removing the nuts off of the passenger side U-bolt so that you can get a bracket in place to actually bolt up the Exact Center. But aside from that, the trickiest part really is just the adjustments. So when later on in our video, we do a little bit of test driving, and we have to get out and actually adjust it back and forth. When I did this, it did take me a few times of actually playing with it to get it just dialed in right to where it wasn't trying to pull me either to the right or to the left, and it was just staying straight. Now the other big thing here is making sure that your alignment is perfect before you even go ahead and install this. Ours was not because our wheel was at a 45 degree angle when we we inchesre tracking straight, so that tells me right there that this should have had an alignment job before we went and installed it. So whenever they do go and do that alignment, they are gonna have to disconnect the Exact Center and then redial it back in. Now if you are having it pull to the right, you should make sure that you shorten it. If you are pulling to the left, make sure that you lengthen it. It is a little bit confusing when it comes to the instructions on how exactly to do that. What really we want you to look for is when you loosen up the jam nuts on there and you start to turn the cylinders, you should see less or more threads depending on which way you're turning it. And that's really what you're gonna be looking for here. Now if you feel like this is a huge hassle, it's not something you want to do, you don't really trust yourself getting under your motor home and working on it like that, then please feel free to use our dealer locator. You can enter in your zip code and find a shop near you to get it professionally installed. If you are wanting to do this yourself, stick around, I'll walk you through the process. Starting off our install, we're gonna have to remove our factory steering stabilizer, and to do so, we've got two U-bolts that need to come off over here on our tie rod. And then over here at our axle, we're gonna have two nuts we're gonna take off of our U-bolt. So you're gonna need an inch and an eighth socket to get these two off, and you're gonna want a pretty good impact to do so as well because taking this off isn't as easy. Make sure you're wearing your safety glasses. You'll probably have a lot of corrosion or rust bits that are gonna fall down on you at this point. (socket buzzing) And we'll set the washers and nuts aside. We're
