The 3rd single release “PROTOPLASMA” from the 2nd album of the electro- acoustic experimental group AGGREGAT “PROTOPLASMA” is a dark, dystopian deep house epic. A mind-expanding strobe lighted rave in an abandoned concrete bunker. A dark, filtered bass-line supported by a merciless TechnoKick while the cello slowly morphs into nebulous and ominous spaces before an abrupt and powerful chord from the synthesizer ignites the full bass-line. It unfolds on a subtle and melodic bass synthesizer, which is in accompaniment with Technoid drum patterns gradually intensifying. From one Wall of Sound devoured, the rave finally becomes a mixture of contemporary music and breakbeat pouring out from the airwaves. The new release would not be complete without an incredible video produced by the Kiel filmmaker Moritz Boll and Crew. Filmed in the Lübeck cement plant, this video shows a heist movie, garnished with an AGGREGAT performance directly in front of the “ORIGINS” LP cover. The video is set to be released the same day as the single (02/02/2024) and will be available on all music platforms. Pro|to|plas|ma, das - lebende Substanz aller menschlichen, tierischen und pflanzlichen Zellen, in der sich der Stoff- und Energiewechsel vollzieht. „PROTOPLASMA“ ist ein düster-dystopisches Deep-House-Epos, ein bewusstseinserweiternder Rave im Stroboskopgewitter eines verlassenen Betonbunkers. Eine düster-gefilterte Bassline, unterstützt von einer gnadenlosen TechnoKick, wird langsam vom Cello in nebulös-bedrohliche Gegenden geführt, bevor ein mächtiger Synthesizerakkord die vollen Bässe entfacht. Auf einer vermeintlich ruhigen Insel entfaltet sich die volle Melodie im Basssynthesizer, die sich bis zum Schluss intensiviert. Von einer Wall of Sound verschlungen, wird der Rave schließlich in einer Mixtur aus Neuer Musik und Breakbeat dem Äther überlassen.
