ULD-Mover for simplified aircargo handling

The ULD mover is the ideal handling machine for large terminals as well as universal machine for small and medium cargo handling facilities. Siemens' new ULD-Mover is a one-stop shop for any cargo terminal: It is suitable for ULD transportation both at terminal-side and ramp-side, for workstation handling as well as for truck loading. Until now, moving ULDs required donkey-slave systems or other means of transport, like truck docks or fixed installations that often blocked the cargo workspace. Thanks to the new Siemens ULD mover, ULDs can be picked up from floor level. With its four-wheel drive and steering mechanism, the mover can also be used to manoeuvre ULDs inside and around a cargo terminal. One of the most important goals when designing the ULD mover was flexibility and efficiency: The mover delivers the ULD directly to the workstation, which helps speed up the commissioning process. ULDs can also be handed over to roller decks and dolly trains more easily.
