How to Create Neon Text Effect in Adobe Illustrator. I welcome you in another Adobe Illustrator Tutorial of Graphic Design Tutorials series. In this Adobe Illustrator Tutorial, we are going to make glowing means Neon Text in Adobe Illustrator. In this tutorial we will use Rectangle Tool Text tool Offset Path Swatches Panel Appearance Panel Gaussian Blur Effect and Transparency Panel So, First of all make a rectangle of your art board size and fill it with full black color. Then type your text, convert it into shape by right clicking, and choosing create outlines. Create a Global Swatches by Double clicking on any color in Swatches Panel, and marking check on Global check box. After that make a thicker copy of that text by using offset path. Now we have to versions of text one is inner and other one is thinner as one group. So first ungroup it. Choose all inner text first and make its group. Similarly choose all outer text and group it. After that apply Gaussian Blur on outer and inner text. Then take a copy of outer text using paste in front and increase its value from previous one using appearance panel. That’s it.
