I'll show you how to transform your plasma cutter (with no pilot arc) into a pilot arc plasma cutter with no problems! Pilot arc and HF start are methods used to initiate the plasma arc in plasma cutting. Pilot arc uses a separate circuit to create a low-power arc that bridges the gap and ignites the main plasma arc. HF start relies on a high-frequency spark between the electrode and nozzle to ionize the gas and initiate the plasma arc. It is simpler but requires the workpiece to be conductive. Pilot arc is more versatile. My trick uses a wire to trick your machine that its already made contact with the steel before you actually cut it. I have used this trick for years but i cant guarantee it wont damage your machine.
