We all love Linda Rodin. There's something unequivocally unique and exciting about the way she carries herself, the clothing she wears to express herself, and her undeniably inspiring point of view on life. But after perusing articles and interviews, they mostly focus on her exterior expression of self (which is understandable since she's crafted an incredible career as a stylist to Madonna and Bob Dylan, a model for Helmut Lang and The Row, a clothing designer for her line Linda Hopp, etc). But I was dying to know what was going on in the inside that is reflected in her wildly confident, free exterior. And she shares her next big project -- a book! Thanks for listening, and as always, would love to hear your thoughts below! xoxo Kate Easton IG: @itskateeaston @lindaandwinks LindaHopp.com 0:05 Introduction 1:08 Discussing inner self / never having a plan 2:46 From photographer to stylist 4:25 On whether or not she felt pressure to have a career/get married/have kids 6:15 How she responded when she felt as though something was “expected” of her 8:05 On wanting to be “proud” of what she’s created 8:16 Who inspired her to be able to walk away if something wasn’t serving her 9:57 Linda’s response to me thinking she’s “cool” 10:54 How Linda sees herself 11:20 Linda’s latest project - her book! 13:00 On whether or not Linda aims to be “mysterious” 13:30 On not being “commercial” 14:11 On whether she’s received criticism 14:51 On whether or not she received validation as a child 18:00 On her “wacky,” creative mother 19:20 Her mother as an influence on her 22:00 On being non-competitive and disappearing 23:25 On her “fear of being invited” 23:45 What Linda’s inner monologue sounds like 24:00 On feeling like she didn’t exist
