Hi people — and happy New Year! The seven-foot Christmas tree has finally gone, and my chessboard has returned to its rightful place — not that my other half is especially pleased. Unfortunately, Santa didn’t bring me the Chessnut Move board, so it looks like I’ll be saving up for one. I did, however, receive two chess books. One was Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess, which is fine for beginners. The second, The Woodpecker Method, is absolutely brilliant — but very time-consuming, as the puzzles are seriously taxing. That’s exactly where something like the Chessnut Move board would really excel. I did find a great online alternative called ChessWoodie, which is free and works beautifully. Hopefully, it might even interface with the Chessnut Move board in the future. Anyway, the game I’ve brought you today is a blitz match between Mikhail Tal and Anatoly Karpov, played in 1987. It’s a famous encounter, often called “The pulled the Rabbit Out of the Hat” game. Hope you enjoy it. speed x1.6 Music Sb Filaments Chosic music.com 1. e4 c6 2. c4 d5 3. exd5 cxd5 4. cxd5 Nf6 5.
