The EP will be released on 180g vinyl and contains six tracks written and produced by him. The multi-instrumentalist Hallgrímsson, who has already impressed with his skillful reinterpretations of works by Satie, Schumann and Boulanger, takes on the vocals and plays piano as well as electronic elements. He is supported by strings from the Reykjavík Orchestra under the direction of Viktor Orri Árnason. "Snorri Hallgrímsson succeeds in making a statement with his deep understanding of space and silence"- Higher Plain Music In “With Love, Despite the Pain” Hallgrímsson addresses the sense of isolation that can overwhelm us when we watch the news. “I’m hopeful, despite the horror,” he says. Continuing a theme from I Am Weary, Don’t Let Me Rest, he references Dante’s Inferno, reminding us that as the writer took courage from having Virgil as his guide, “we can take courage and follow each other”.
