Film description: "The Hotel Company, 2nd Battalion of the 5th Marines of the 3rd Division, maneuvers against enemy fire to take the Hue City Provisional Headquarters on February 6, 1968 as a part of the Tet Offensive in the Vietnam War. Film depicts the 1st Platoon's entry into the building, and into the open courtyard under the orders of Capt. Christmas, as mortar shells continue to detonate and the platoon throws grenades and fires M-16s. These Marines are followed by men of the 2nd and 3rd Platoons, led by Sgt. John Miller and Lt. Mike Lambert. Marines search for and bandage wounded men, while Gunnery Sgt. Frank Thomas, Pfc. Walter Kaczmarek and Pfc. Alan McDonald take down the Viet Cong flag, and replace it with the United States' flag. Marines are also seen removing Viet Cong soldiers, and binding and blindfolding them. Film concludes with a brief shot of a demolished bridge." USMC 100494: Tet Offensive, Hue City. United States Marine Corps Film Repository. Moving Image Research Collections.
