Centuries later, a scholar and a mystic attempt to unlock a legendary vault. The scholar perishes protecting his son, who later becomes a renowned physician, driven to complete his father's quest. In a bygone era, a tyrannical ruler expands his dominion, acquiring powerful artifacts, including a means to revive the dead. He plots to conquer a neighboring kingdom, ruthlessly suppressing any opposition. He obtains the time-traveling mirror and uses it as a personal treasure. Later, he massacres a peaceful village, seizing a sacred medical text and killing a prophet who foretells his downfall. Subsequently, his identical sibling usurps his throne, banishing him through the mirror. The banished ruler unexpectedly materializes in the modern world, disoriented and desperate to return to his time. He shatters every reflective surface he encounters, attracting the attention of law enforcement. Meanwhile, the mystic's associate discovers the ruler's arrival and initiates a search. Law enforcement brings the ruler to a public event, where he encounters a man claiming lineage. A near-fatal accident is averted by a woman who eerily resembles the prophet he murdered. The ruler forms a bond with the woman and her guardian. The mystic's associate kidnaps the woman, forcing the ruler to a hidden location. The mystic holds the woman's family hostage, demanding the medical text to save her life. In the past, the sibling faces a crisis and decides to open the vault. A treacherous commander seeks to seize power. A loyal servant, aware of the plot, travels through the mirror to warn the banished ruler. The ruler is unable to open the vault in the present due to interference. The servant informs him of the betrayal. The ruler returns to the past, thwarting the commander's plot. The vault is opened, but the ruler is destined to perish. He entrusts the medical text and his kingdom to his sibling, returning to the present. In the present, the ruler faces the mystic, who attacks him. He defeats the mystic and his forces, but is fatally wounded.
