THE LAST OF US Season 2 Episode 5 Reaction: THAT WAS INSANE!!! | The Last Of Us 2x5 Reaction!

Oh my goodness, buckle up because Episode 5 of The Last of Us Season 2 just dropped, and my emotions are in a tangled mess! 🤯 We got a HUGE dose of everything in this episode, and I'm still trying to process it all. First off, seeing Joel (Pedro Pascal - The Mandalorian, Game of Thrones) at the very end in what we can only assume is a flashback hit me like a ton of bricks. Just when you think you're starting to cope, they pull you right back in! 😭 Then there's Ellie (Bella Ramsey - Game of Thrones, His Dark Materials). This episode marked a significant and brutal turning point as she finally confronted and killed Nora (Tati Gabrielle - Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, You). It was gut-wrenching to watch Ellie take that first step on her path of revenge, fueled by the unbearable loss of Joel. You could feel the raw pain and anger radiating off of her. We also got a terrifying glimpse into the evolution of the infected with more of the smart infected. Those things are seriously creepy and add a whole new level of dread to an already terrifying world. The attack on Ellie and Dina (Isabela Merced - Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Transformers: The Last Knight) was intense, and I was holding my breath the entire time! Thank goodness for Jesse (Young Mazino - Beef), who came in at just the right moment to save them. The fact that Jesse and Tommy (Gabriel Luna - Terminator: Dark Fate, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) left Jackson to find Ellie and Dina has me excited for the potential chaos and new storylines it's going to create! And let's not even get started on the Seraphites (aka the Scars). The scene where they actually showed the hanging and disembowelment was absolutely BRUTAL and solidified just how terrifying and fanatical this group is. It was a stark reminder of the human-on-human violence that plagues this world alongside the infected. Overall, this episode was a rollercoaster of emotions – from the brief glimmer of seeing Joel again to the horrific violence and Ellie's descent into revenge.
