In this video, we discuss piriformis syndrome. The symptoms for piriformis syndrome or a low back problem may feel very similar, but the treatment is different. The reason they can be confused is because they both can affect the Sciatic nerve, but at different points. Understanding the difference in the two can help identify what your actually dealing with. If you find that you do have a piriformis syndrome, the rehab may consist of either stretching the tight piriformis muscle or strengthening a under-active one. Let us know in the comments which one you felt like you needed to do. Either stretch or strengthen, or maybe a combo of both!
