Tata has finally launched it's much-awaited SUV, the Harrier at Rs 12.69L, ex-showroom Mumbai. Tata's new Flagship with it's introductory price looks like a good value for money package. This is the Big One,It is the first real fruit of the company's acquisition of JLR, being based on a Land Rover platform. Plus it packs striking looks and the best Tata interior yet. The varient-wise price breakup,is as follows: Tata Harrier XE-Rs 12.69L Tata Harrier XM-Rs 13.75L Tata Harrier XT-Rs 14.95L Tata Harrier XZ-Rs 16.25L With the Harrier,it seems like Tata has pulled out all the stops. Beginning with what's underneath the swanky exterior. It's based on the D8 platform that also underpins the Land Rover Discovery Sport. But all the alluminium has been ditched in favor of high-strength steel. Infotainment duties are handled by an 8.8 inch touch screen, a 7inch display in the instrument cluster and a sweet-sounding 9 speaker JBL audio system. It's loaded to the brim with safety tech too, including 6 Airbags, ABS, ESP, traction control and hill descent control.
