Capsulorhexis is an essential step in routine phacoemulsification, at times it tries to run away. In this video, the use of the viscoelastic to flatten the area where the rhexis is trying to run away and use of a microrhexis forceps through a side port is shown, so that there is no leak of viscoelastic from the main wound which can cause a chamber collapse and difficulty in retrieving the rhexis. The use of the microrhexis forceps prevents chamber collapse. The rhexis is to be grasped from the area where it is trying to run away. The direction of the movement of the rhexis forceps, once the CCC is held, is towards the centre of the eye and not circumferential like a routine rhexis. This technique almost NEVER FAILS.
