Dr. Nicole Wilson is a native of Chicago, IL. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s of science in Community Health Sciences, with a focus on Health Education and Hospital Planning & Administration. After college, Dr. Wilson began work in the health field as the director of the Cancer Resource Center at University of Chicago Hospitals. Inspired by her family and patients to complete her goal of becoming a physician, she pursued her medical degree and graduated in May 2011 from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (now Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine) located in Independence, Ohio. Dr. Wilson completed her three year surgical residency at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center in Richmond Heights, Ohio. During that time, Dr. Wilson had the honor of serving as chief resident of her program, in addition to achieving the distinction of being named Resident of the Year in 2013 and 2014. In June 2015, Dr. Wilson completed fellowship training in Advanced Foot and Ankle Surgery at University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH. Throughout her career, Dr. Wilson has had the honor of publishing clinical research in numerous journals within her profession. Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Wilson is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Wilson has special interest in diabetic foot and ankle care, wound care of the lower extremity, foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, pediatrics, and flatfoot. In her spare time, Dr. Wilson enjoys volunteering, singing, reading and spending time with her husband, Brandon.
