The Prevention of Blindness Week campaign held from 1st to 7th April is planned by the Government of India for increasing the awareness towards the blind and visually impaired people… And here’s a heart-touching real-life story of the Eye Donation Campaign led by Dera Sacha Sauda, inspired by the teachings of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan and how Dera Sacha Sauda and Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing contribute to the Blindness Prevention Program. Over 2 lakh devotees have pledged to donate their eyes after leaving this world, embodying the spirit of selfless service. Regardless of how they are treated or who they encounter, DSS volunteers remain steadfast in their mission to serve humanity, following the guidance of their Spiritual Master, Saint Dr. MSG. As the Indian government observes April 1 to April 7 as Prevention of Blindness Week, Dera Sacha Sauda wholeheartedly supports this initiative, advocating for regular eye check-ups to prevent eye diseases like age-related macular degeneration. Dera Sacha Sauda efforts in the Prevention of Blindness Dera Sacha Sauda under the Leadership of our Spiritual Master Saint Dr. MSG has donated more than 9,000 pairs of eyes, with almost 3,000 of those transplanted. This is a significant achievement, as India only donates 40,000 eyes per year, and 5% of those come from DSS Sadh Sangat. Not only this, every year from December 12–15, a free Mega Eye Checkup camp “Yaad-e-Murshid Eye Checkup Camp” is organized at Dera Sacha Sauda in which thousands of patients get their eyes checked, treated and even operated for completely free. Even the costs of their food, water, stay is taken care of by Sadh Sangat. And what’s more commendable is that Dera Sacha Sauda has also held a Guinness World Record for screening 4,603 eye patients in eight hours.
