Welcome back to my 2025 endurance Journey! 🚴‍♂️ In this exciting new adventure, I’m thrilled to share my experience tackling the breathtaking climbs of the Lake District taking part in the Fred Whitton Challenge. Building off the incredible feedback from my 2024 video, this year, I’m capturing every moment with new insights and gear. Join me as I take on iconic spots like Kirkstone Pass and Honister Pass, known for its steep and technical descent. With the addition of a rear camera, you’ll get a firsthand view of just how steep the descent really is! Plus, I had the honour of meeting Lynn Whitton, Fred’s wonderful widow, at the first water/feed station—an unforgettable moment. This ride focuses on the challenging Hardknott Pass, after last years disappointing effort, and includes a brief recce of Grasmere to close out the video. Last year, I struggled on Hardknott Pass after the first steep sharp turn, but will I conquer it this time? Hardknott hits hard at the 95-mile mark, reminding us of the beauty and brutality of this route, especially with Wrynose and Blea Tarn still ahead.
