JAPANESE COMPUTER MAKER Fujitsu has showed off its newest range of corporate notebooks, the Lifebook E-line, which comes in three screen sizes of 13.3in, 14in and 15.6in. With a brushed metal look with a red design detail, each of the different sizes share components, such as bit image, BIOS and chipset across any of the three offerings, which Fujitsu says helps standardise the models to "make life easier for IT departments". What makes the range unique, however is the interchangeability of modular bay options housed in the chassis. Coming in four different options, users can choose between an additional battery for up to enhance runtime to 19hours, an optical disc drive, a second hard drive or a plug-in bay LED projector to transform the notebook into a projector unit. Fujitsu said this extend or mirror the laptop's display, which could be useful for mobile employees who work off-site and find it difficult finding a meeting room with a ceiling-mounted projector unit. µ
