Looking for alternatives to playdoh? We decided to give Play Foam by Educational Insights a try. It is a squishy, squashy material made of a tiny foam balls that stick together but don't stick to anything else! Brianna and Dante both really enjoyed playing with it. It lived up to it's claims. It didn't stick to their hands, clothes, carpet or table -- just to itself. It has been left out for 2 weeks since making this video and is till sticky and squishy. They were able to sculpt figures, and because of it's light weight it did not crumbled when making extensions like arms. The kids also really liked the tactile feeling of the squishy foam. On the down side. Once these colors were mixed (and Dante really squashed them together), there is not getting them unmixed. Creating with PlayFoam is all by hand, it doesn't work well with playdoh type cutters, molds, and tools. In all- mom and kids give this a thumbs up!
