Masyaura (Maseura / Masyura / Masyoura, Sun-dried Vegetable Balls, Nepali soya chunks) is one of the most popular food from Nepal. This was one of my favorite dish growing up. Everytime my mom made Maseura Curry, it reminded me of eating meat but it’s actually 100% vegetarian ingredient… plus super delicious. It is hard to find any Nepali who doesn't know and like Maseura curry. If you have place with plenty of sunlight, then you can make it on your own. Most Nepali make this Lentil Nuggets during winter and store in airtight containers to consume throughout the year. Ingredients may vary by region and in general, Maseura are made from Lentils (Dal - दाल) and Pidalu (पिँडालु - Taro stem, Yam) or Cauliflowers, potatoes, or spinach. Maseura can be compared to Nutrella or Nutri-nuggets from soybean. Maseura is full of Proteins, Carbohydrate and Vitamins.
