SICC Symposium 2021: Trends & Developments in International Commercial Litigation – Session 4 The role of Commercial Courts in Cross-Border Insolvency Disputes The fourth session of the SICC Symposium 2021 held on 10 March 2021 was moderated by International Judge Anselmo Reyes. The panel comprising Justice Kannan Ramesh, Mr James H.M. Sprayregen PC, Ms Lexa Hilliard QC and Mr Sushil Nair engaged in timely discussion, considering Singapore had recently updated its restructuring and insolvency laws to facilitate cross-border insolvency processes and with the SICC exploring specialized procedural rules for infrastructure disputes to better address parties’ needs. Such changes would undoubtedly encourage more businesses to resolve their disputes with the SICC.
