Hello, for many people cast iron cookware has been synonymous with American Made. Although Cast iron cookware was first used in Asia, cast iron cookware became a huge role in the exploration of the early American colonies. Becoming a huge success in the mid 1800’s and early 1900’s. Many have come to know great American made manufacturers which no longer exist. At this point in time Cast Iron cookware is still going strong and many have turned to mass produced cookware. Chinese made Cast Iron is mostly great to use even though, many claim they use bad iron or mixed metals. In most cases you will never find bad cast iron. There are exceptions though and in this video I point out the types you want to avoid purchasing. Many lean towards purchasing Chinese cast iron for the price. But as the saying goes, “you get what you pay for.”
