This is the School Song of Majeediyya School, the oldest school in the Maldives founded on 19th April 1927. The Poem for the song was written by Mr.Ahmed Shakir / Thalhamudhigey on 9th June 1958. He first wrote a short version of the poem with only the first verse, and later the song had its second verse added to it, with consultation from Mr. Ahmed Shakir himself. Prior to this, an English song named "Come Rally" was being sung as the school song, but was later changed to the present Dhivehi version to accommodate the change to the house names in the school (they are mentioned in the second verse). The Melody is theorized to be inspired from the Tunisian National Anthem. The song's musical composition was later arranged to the present day scores of Majeediyya School Military Band by Utheka Ikema in the late 1980s.
