In this video, we put that philosophy to the test with a head-to-head comparison between a genuine Edelbrock 1406 carburetor and a suspiciously cheap clone we picked up from a popular online marketplace. We bolted both carbs onto a dyno-tested Chevy 350 small block with aftermarket Summit Racing heads, a Trick Flow cam and intake, and a setup any home builder might run.
