Basic Pattern Cast on 80 stitches with worsted weight yarn. Knit 1 by 1 ribbing for 10 rows. Knit 1 row. Lace pattern repeat Row1: *(Yo, K3, SK2P, K3, Yo, K1), repeat * to the end Row 2: K to the end Row 3: *(K1, Yo, K2, SK2P, K2, Yo, K2), repeat * to the end Row 4: K to the end Row 5: *(K2, Yo, K1, SK2P, K1, Yo, K3), repeat * to the end Row 6: K to the end Row 7: *(K3, Yo, SK2P, Yo, K4), repeat * to the end Row 8: K to the end After knitting the lace pattern for about 7 inches from the cast-on edge, start the crown decreasing. Crown decrease K3 rows (optional), place 8 stitch markers to create 8 sections (10 st each). Decrease row: in each section (between st markers), *(K2tog, K to the end of the section).
