Sengoku Musou 3: Empires - Toyotomi Story Event Battle 4 | Showdown at Odawara Castle

The Toyotomi chapter is surprisingly short and only consists of four event battles because stuff like Shikoku and Kyushu got completely skipped. Also had to fire most of my generics to fix the negative gold income from how many people Hideyoshi recruited in this story. The pre-battle event has Nene suddenly thanking Hideyoshi for sparing everyone to the latter’s surprise, forcing him to hide and then eat up the love letter that he intended to give to Oichi. Pretty funny. Masamune is with the Hojo in this timeline, so he shows up as enemy in this stage. Hideyoshi spares everybody and unites the land afterward. Nene then approaches Kiyomasa, causing him to blush and pass out while foaming at the mouth. Mitsunari and Masanori joke about him being like a crab, and Sugita’s funny voice acting in these weird Kiyomasa moments never cease to put a smile on my face. Frankly I don’t even know when Kiyomasa’s Nene-simping started as I don’t remember him having this trait in base SW3 or 3XL. Perhaps it started in Chronicles 1 in some of his personal events? Hideyoshi then holds a human shogi match in the ending, with Muneshige suddenly existing out of nowhere. He also decides to jump off of the kite that he and Nene were on for some reason, but there’s really no place for him to safely land on, so… RIP, I guess.
