The penultimate outing for Pathfinder Railtours saw double 37s travel to Chester, performing a mini-tour around the Pennines while most passengers were at the Christmas markets. I only saw the ECS move the day before and the mini-tour, the first at Newton-le-Willows, and the second at Warrington Bank Quay and Todmorden. The tractors, 37669 and 37706, both sounded fantastic, and even 47746 was producing some excellent clag and noise from the rear! Added onto the end are some bonus clips taken from Newton-le-Willows the day prior. Some sort of issue developed on the WCML between Golborne and Winwick Junctions (I'm still not sure what this was). As a result, no less than four interesting moves (one of which is the ECS for the Pathfinder tour) were diverted off the WCML at Golborne Jnc, sent through Newton-le-Willows/Earlestown, before re-joining the mainline at Winwick Jnc.
