The level crossing is found on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch miniature Railway, next to Romney Sands station where the passing loop between New Romney and Dungeness is located. This was the last level crossing to have barriers fitted at it on this line, as two German-manufactured 'Pintsch Bamag' barriers (modified for UK usage) were fitted here at that time. There's also an additional LED red flashing light to warn people in the small car park next to the level crossing of it working for approaching trains. A locomotive running tender-first is featured in the first clip of this video. It was specifically arranged to run between New Romney and this location on this date as part of the 'End of Season Parade' event on the last weekend of October. Whilst this may be common at some railways that don't have turntables, tender-first running's here are quite rare. The locomotive is then seen running-around its stock to take a non-stop service all the way to Hythe. Around 20 minutes later, a diesel-hauled service and another steam-hauled service are seen, before and after crossing at the station respectively. Thanks for watching!
