The Star Ocean series was always one of my favorites growing up due to the cool sci-fi/fantasy premise, the optional characters, the action battle system mixed with more traditional JRPG exploration and many other aspects that many people also love the series for. With that said, general fan consensus on each entry seems to vary quite a bit. This video takes a quick look back at every title in the franchise, spin-offs and ports included, and goes over their pros/cons as well as my personal thoughts on the game.
